As I said before, you’re all right. It occurred to me that American women, in general, are undeserving of the attentions of American men. And, yet, American women are taking every opportunity to trash their men.
I don’t know how to fix it, except on an individual basis. We can’t all ex-pat.

@ fuzzie, this just came to me. Maybe you are thinking dominance = conflict when it is between two men? But if someone is in a position of authority, it’s ok, right? Like a man’s boss. Or the drill sargent. Or a husband. Or a parent. To rebel against the authority is what causes conflict, no? So yes, if a woman does not recognize her man as the authority, yes, there will be conflict.
