I would say that the kinds of things in the resume should come out over the course of time, rather than in one lump sum. It comes up during discussions, and over the course of time. Yes, you need to do your due diligence (and many fail to do that), but in the context of a relationship like this one, it is much better to do that diligence over the course of time in the context of multiple conversations, and not in one dollop like one would do for a work resume.
In addition to the conversations over time, a few critical areas of due diligence are:
Family of origin: is the parents marriage intact? What have you observed of their relationship? Are the siblings married? What do you observe of their relationships? Is there much divorce in the extended family?
Friends: Are they married? Are they divorced? Are they “fun party girl” types? Friends are hugely, disproportionately influential on women — any due diligence exercise on a potential wife takes a good long look at the friends.
Discipline: Are their any indicators of a lack of self-discipline? This can be reflected in numerous areas, and not all of them are “true tells”, but typically when a person lacks self-discipline it pops up in more than one area.
