Not quite. You are missing some critically important distinctions.
First, let me say on the whole I appreciate your comments and engagement in the discussion. I’ve been involved in intergender conversations with women for some time, and most devolve into visceral emotional reactions, instinctive defensiveness of her position, and ad hominem of the man’s position. See Jenn’s silly comment about “real men”. So I appreciate you engaging dispassionately and intellectually.
Now here is where you are going wrong. The situations are not exactly analogous because men and women attach different values to obtaining a long-term committed relationship versus short-term sex (particularly with above average attractiveness partners).
